Undergraduate degrees in Digital Media & Design will take one of two forms: a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) or Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree. Both of these degree programs start with a strong foundation that covers a broad spectrum of Digital Media & Design skills and applications.While the core is nearly identical, the BFA, as the professional arts degree, has additional studio courses, requiring that 65% of the total course credits focus on the creation and study of art and design.

The BA is considered a liberal arts degree and allows the flexibility for a student to combine individual concentrations in Digital Media & Design with courses offered in the Schools of Engineering, Business and the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, making the most of UConn’s status as a “R1” (research one) classified university.
