Event Facilities
Located in the center of Downtown Stamford, the Stamford Campus recognizes its special urban character which is ideal for hosting both campus and community events. The University Conference Center provides conference facilities, services, and programs for educational and personal enrichment purposes.
The University Conference Center is an ideal setting for small and large events. Our convenient location, quiet and professional meeting spaces, and competitive rates assure that your conference, seminar, or meeting will be a great success!
Our Events Coordinator can assist you in selecting rooms and seating arrangements that suit your needs. Seating in most rooms can be also tailored to meet your needs. Meeting rooms range in size from the 270-seat General Re Auditorium to smaller rooms that can accommodate groups from 100 – 20 people.

How Can You Reserve Space At The University?
Day:
8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Half Day:
or: 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
or: 6:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
Full Day:
8:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.
Cancellations:
Thirty calendar days prior to program date, UCONN will charge 50% of room fee. Five calendar days prior to program, UCONN will charge 100% of room fee. |
Audio/Visual Equipment Available
The University Conference Center also offers affordable rental of audio/visual equipment to help make your event the best it can be.
Our inventory includes LCD and overhead projectors; sound systems for speakers or panels; microphones, wireless and wired; televisions with DVD/VHS; whiteboards; and screens.
Our meeting rooms can contain a mixture of rectangular tables (30” x 60”), square tables (42" x 42”), round tables (60”), chairs and stage.
There is no charge for non-profit organizations, however, there may be staff charges related to room set-ups and/or audio/visual set-ups.
Catering & Liquor
- Groups can use a caterer of their choice or the Events Coordinator can assist you with a recommendation to suit your meeting needs.
- Groups which self-cater are responsible for general cleanup after your event.
- Groups interested in serving liquor for their events must do so with the permission of the Events Coordinator. A Connecticut state liquor license is required and liquor is authorized to be distributed only by a licensed caterer.
Parking
Parking at UCONN-Stamford is located on Washington Blvd. directly across the street from the campus building. Parking is FREE in all designated parking areas. Parking is available on three levels of the garage.
Signage/Decorations/Postings
- Signholders are available for placement within the University for directional purposes.
- Signholders must be used in conjunction with a reserved event and are available only
during the room reservation hours.
- Signholders cannot be used for pre-event signage.
- Signs on signholders must be removed immediately following the event.
- Specific limitations apply as to the use of tape, balloons, glitter, candles, and other decorations. Consult with the event coordinator to discuss whether your decoration ideas are allowed.
- All decorations must be removed from the University at the completion of a reservation.
