Computer Center

The lab is for the use of all registered UConn students, faculty and staff in support of class work. All users must present ID upon request and sign in.

There are 32 workstations on the main floor for students, staff and faculty to use within the “open” hours. Whereas use of the lab is free, printing must be done with “One Card”(the StudentID) at $.10 per sheet.  Staff and faculty should see the lab monitor to arrange printing.  Cash payment cannot be accepted. Software in the labs includes Microsoft Office, Visual Studio, SPSS, SAS, Minitab, Internet Browsers, Roxio, Sonic.

The lab monitors are available for support of the PC's in the lab. Questions directed to them should be limited to the software generally available.

Computer Labs for Teaching

There are 3 teaching labs available for classes; 3.05G for up to 27 students, 3.05A for up to 18 students, and 3.05F for up to 16 students. Room assignments in the teaching labs are made by the registrar if the usage is for the whole semester.  Occasional usage is arranged through Maggie Levy, Lab Coordinator, 251-9522 or Maggie.Levy@UConn.edu.  Additional software can be installed for class use within lawful licensing agreements if the software is provided by the department or instructor and sufficient time is allowed for installation by support staff.
