The Bachelor of General Studies (BGS)  program which offers a unique educational experience for busy adults; lots of flexibility, and an ability to explore your interests.

Designed for students to explore a range academic perspectives integrating coursework from a number of different disciplines, students can choose from a variety of academic subjects.

Our mission is to provide you with the highest quality education, advising, and support services to enable you to reach your academic goals.

As a BGS student, you will work with an advisor to create a uniquely tailored plan of study from a wide array of academic courses offered at the University of Connecticut.

If you have completed 60 credits or an associate’s degree from an accredited university or college, you are invited to participate in the University of Connecticut’s Bachelor of General Studies (BGS) program.
