Through the generous support of corporations and
private donors, a few scholarships are available
only for students enrolling in the Stamford campus
of UConn. These include the Fleet Bank Scholarship,
the General Re Scholarship, the Stamford 460 Scholarship
($2,000 per year) and for for transfers from NCC
grads admitted into BSBT, the Wm Pitt Scholarship
(full in-state tuition). Students interested in
pursuing a career in nursing may be eligible for
one of four scholarships.
Lists of all scholarships as well as financial
aid information can be found on the main UConn
website www.uconn.edu or in the UConn general catalog.
In addition, a scholarship table is located in
the hallway between the Student Services office
and the Registrar's office on the 2nd floor. Updated
information and applications are kept from late
January through May. Interested students who have
attended UConn for at least one semester should
check this table regularly. Not all of the awards
are based solely on financial need and academic
achievement. Many of the awards are based on such
criteria as excellent academic and community achievement.
Monetary awards range from $100 to $3,000. The
UConn-Stamford Scholarship Committee awards a number
of monetary scholarships. There are many community
and other outside awards as well. To be eligible,
fill out the Stamford Campus and Related Scholarship
Application located on the scholarship table.
